About the Writers

Atlee Solomon:

I have studied various disciplines at several universities and am also largely self-taught.  I have done chemistry research at Washington University in St. Louis.  My areas of interest are economics, psychology, skepticism, evolution, pharmacology, politics, and science. I am the founding member of the Ladue Video Gaming Club at the high school I attended (Ladue Hortkin Watkins High School).  In my spare time, I greatly enjoy discrediting pseudoscience! As you read this blog, you will quickly find that I am very progressive as well as an avid atheist.

Oh, and some might wonder about the name, Teaching the Controversy (TTC). This is what we call satire.  I maintain that as long as creationists want the made-up controversy to be taught then they should also encourage the other controversies. Notably, Stork-TheoryFlat Earth Theory, and Intelligent Falling among other “non-controversies.

Tej:

I’m a syntropic Junior at Duke, studying statistical science. My vertical leap is pushing 40 inches.
